„All speech, action and behavior are fluctuations of consciousness. All life emerges from, and is sustained in, consciousness. The whole universe is the expression of consciousness. The reality of the universe is one unbounded ocean of consciousness in motion.”

THE DEPARTMENT

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with health, prevention and treatment of diseases to ensure harmonious development and growth in childhood. Kaumarabhritya is divided in to three different age groups:

  • Garbhvasta from conception to birth
  • Balyavasta first and second childhood
  • Madhyavasta from thirteen to sixteen age.

The mission of this department is to spread Maharishi Ayurveda, medicine based on Consciousness in the pediatric field, among healthcare professionals and general public, in order to promote its integration with modern pediatrics.
Health promotion in childhood is today considered fundamental to prevent various chronic diseases (diabetes, hypertension, etc.) in adulthood. Kaumarabhritya therefore represents one of the fundamental pillars for creating a disease-free society in accordance with the vision of Ayurveda Maharishi.
