About us

"The centuries-old medicine-predominated approach to health has failed to eliminate sickness and suffering; this is because medicine alone is too superficial to influence all the innumerable values that constitute the structure of life and its evolution. Only a holistic approach that takes into consideration all aspects of mind and body together can be successful in handling health." - Maharishi Mahesh Yogi

Welcome to the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International (MCPHI)

Our journey

Over 45 years ago, the profound insights of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi into the intricate relationship between pure consciousness, the mind, the physical body, behavior, society, and the environment led to the development of a of a profound healthcare system – Maharishi AyurVeda, also known as Maharishi Vedic Approach to Health.

In 2001, Maharishi founded the institution that would become the cornerstone of our mission, the Maharishi College of Vedic Medicine, which he later as Maharishi College of Perfect Health International (MCPHI) in 2007. The vision was clear: to propagate and regulate the practice of a prevention-oriented perfect system of healthcare for everyone in our global family. Dr Picha was entrusted with the role of President of the Accreditation Board, ensuring the authenticity and quality of our offerings.

Our expansion

As time progressed, MCPHI expanded its horizons, offering an array of modalities that encapsulate the essence of Maharishi AyurVeda, such as Maharishi AyurVeda training for health professionals and the general public, Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy, Maharishi Yoga Therapy, Maharishi Light Therapy with Gems, Maharishi AyurVeda Panchakarma, Maharishi AyurVeda Marma Therapy, Maharishi Vedic Astrology, and Vedic Dance. These courses, a testament to our commitment, have been accessible since 2012 through platforms like MERU, MIU, UMLAC in Latin America, and various countries worldwide.

MCPHI’s “Total Knowledge for Perfect Health” curriculum, crafted under the guidance of Dr Picha and Dr Mölk, has been adopted by MIU, becoming the fastest-growing study program. Our dedication to the teachings of Maharishi AyurVeda continues to influence the world.

Assuming responsibility

In 2022, when the MERU course office ceased its activities, MCPHI the responsibility of administering its courses and expanded the range of offerings. In October, we celebrated our first anniversary as the new course platform, marked by the inauguration of several new departments and important cooperation agreements with MIU.

Our mission

MCPHI, a Dutch non-profit organization (Stichting), located at MERU, The Netherlands, operates for charitable, educational, and scientific purposes. Our primary objective is to serve as a global platform for training health professionals and the general public in the various preventive and therapeutic modalities of Maharishi AyurVeda. We aim to integrate Maharishi AyurVeda into the public healthcare system, creating a harmonious balance between modern medicine and natural health care systems, free from side effects.

Our foundation

At the heart of our foundation is the guiding textbook, “Human Physiology – Expression of Veda and the Vedic Literature” by Prof. Tony Nader. This book, founded on the latest research in physiology, reveals that the body is a precise expression of Total Natural Law – Veda and the Vedic Literature, rooted in consciousness.

Our programmes

MCPHI was founded with a vision to develop and offer training programs in Maharishi AyurVeda modalities at various levels:

1. An introductory course and training for anyone interested in maintaining physical and mental health.
2. Professional development and continuing education training for health professionals in Maharishi AyurVeda.
3. On-going enrichment for health professionals trained in Maharishi AyurVeda through knowledge updates, research articles, advanced knowledge courses, case studies, and clinical practice opportunities.

In addition, MCPHI is entrusted with establishing and monitoring the highest quality standards for the worldwide practice of the many Maharishi AyurVeda modalities.
