Maharishi AyurVeda is the comprehensive and modern formulation of the world’s oldest system of natural health care.
It emphasises prevention and focuses on the relationship between consciousness and health, including techniques to increase stress tolerance and overall well-being through evidence-based personalised self-care programmes, including the practice of Transcendental Meditation®. Ayurveda originated in India, with texts dating back more than 5,000 years. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means “The Science of Life.” Ayur means life, and Veda means science or knowledge.
In Ayurveda, any disease is considered to be caused by an imbalance of the three basic organising principles of physiology, the three Doshas. Maharishi AyurVeda recommends specific lifestyle interventions, including diet, herbal preparations, daily routine and stress management. A holistic multi-modality approach is applied to create balance between mind, body, behaviour and environment.
Professional Training in Maharishi AyurVeda
The Maharishi College of Perfect Health International (MCPHI) offers the opportunity to study Maharishi AyurVeda on a professional level at an accredited university, Alma Mater Europaea ECM, in Maribor, Slovenia.
The comprehensive Ayurveda training provided by Alma Mater Europaea in this one-year, distance and in-residence study programme equips you to effectively deliver Ayurveda consultations, integrating key diagnostic and therapeutic modalities seamlessly into your practice.
We welcome individuals from all backgrounds. Whether you’re a health professional or not, the Professional Training in Maharishi AyurVeda offers a unique opportunity to delve into the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.
What you will learn
In this comprehensive programme, you will learn:
Authentic Ayurveda concepts integrated with modern medicine
Fundamental principles of prevention and diagnosis
Effective treatment protocols for common diseases and chronic disorders.
The art of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis
You will also receive specialised training in an ancient art of Ayurvedic pulse diagnosis, known as Maharishi Nadi Vigyan, which has been meticulously revived and refined to serve as an invaluable diagnostic tool for healthcare professionals. This unique method of analysing the pulse detects balanced or imbalanced functioning of the physiology influenced by diet, daily routine and the environment, and thereby can reveal diseases before symptoms arise.
Marma therapy
Additionally, our curriculum includes Marma Therapy, an extraordinary Ayurvedic healing technique.
It is the art of tending to specific vital points (Marmas) of the human body and works on the level of consciousness of both practitioner and patient. This gentle and delicate treatment enlivens the inner intelligence in the Marmas, facilitating the healing process and strengthening, revitalising and rejuvenating body, mind and soul.
With this exceptional consulting training, you will gain access to a comprehensive toolkit that empowers you to elevate your practice to its utmost level of effectiveness in caring for your patients.
