About the Course
The tiny wonders that exist everywhere in Nature – delicate flowers, leaves, pine needles, seeds, etc. – carry with them great healing power. Despite their small size, their ability to heal is so profound as to be able to eliminate suffering from life. Here is a wonderful opportunity for you as a graduate of the Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy Consultant Training Course Phase I to acquire the skills to give consultations to the general public.
Also fully-fledged MAAT consultants may wish to take this exciting, new Phase II as a refresher course and get the latest tools and knowledge to practice MAAT (see MAAT Updates below).
We will focus on sharpening our skills to select the best essential oils out of a variety of options available to us, and the best methods of use. We will also learn about the essential oils in the new VedAroma Kit for this course. This kit is part of a new selection of 25 essential oils – you will learn how to use them to address most health concerns.

In this course, you will
- Further develop and test your mastery of the unique method used in MAAT, with thorough feedback from experienced MAAT consultants
- Do daily exercises to solidify the knowledge
- Practice by working on case studies to sharpen your skills as an aroma therapist and have lively discussions about the fine points and tools an MAAT consultant should know
- Learn which are the 25 essential oils that address most health concerns – this can be your basic essential oil kit when giving consultations
- Learn and practice the consultation steps and prepare to give consultations to the general public
- Learn how to give consultations online (via Skype, Zoom, etc).
Graduating Modalities
Every MAAT course gives us the opportunity to acquire more in-depth knowledge, whether you wish to give consultations or simply have the knowledge for yourself, your family and friends. With this in mind, we have developed different modes of certification for each course.
Daily exercises, case studies and tests will serve as teaching tools, as well as a way to assess your expertise as:
- Trainee level 2 – You will acquire more experience in the Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy method of choosing and applying pure, high quality, certified organic or wild-harvested essential oils, and recommending them to family and friends as practice.
- Graduate Consultant level 2 – The more experienced you are in the Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy method, the better able you will become in recommending them to clients. This level of certification will enable you to work as a professional aroma therapist.
The successful completion of this Phase II of the Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy Consultant Training Course to give consultations to the general public will depend on your results in the exercises, case studies and tests.
You will then have the opportunity to become an affiliate of the International Maharishi AyurVeda Foundation for Health Professionals. As an affiliate of IMAVF you will have many benefits which include constant feedback via an online Forum and webinars for continuing education.
All course participants who receive a certificate of completion of the Phase II training are eligible for a 30% discount on Vedaroma essential oils, diffusers and books. If you would like to become a Vedaroma distributor, the discount is 40%.

Course structure
8-day full-time course
17 November 2024: arrival day, dinner, welcome meeting
18–25 November 2024: full-time course
26 November 2024: departure day, or optional boat tour on Bosphorus
Each lesson comprises knowledge, experiences, questions and answers.
During the course you will be working on both daily assignments and case studies (the latter are due on the last day of the course). You will also take a written test on the last day of the course. These assignments are designed in such a way as to allow you to do them faster than in the past, and have been made easier and more enjoyable. They aim at preparing you to enjoy giving consultations with confidence.
The course leader and assistant will grade your work and give you constant feedback so that all your questions are answered and you are effortlessly guided through the method used in MAAT.
Beautiful Maharishi lectures and the group practice of Transcendental Meditation and TM Sidhi Programme are another essential and enjoyable part of the course.
Enjoy a scenic boat trip on Bosphorus at the end of the course (optional).
Course materials
An integral part of the training of MAAT consultants is the experience of a wide range of essential oils. This allows consultants to both have the direct experience of their benefits and be able to recommend specific essential oils based on their own practical knowledge.
The VedAroma Kit, containing samples of 15 VedAroma essential oils is not included in the course fee and can be ordered from VedAroma. The kit is not mandatory for this in-residence course since the students will be able to experience the essential oils in the kit at no additional cost.
The Power of Essential Oils is a publication written by Dr Rosie Geelvink, who pioneered the groundbreaking knowledge of Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy, and contains vital information about each essential oil and how to use them. If you don’t already have it you will need to order the 136-page Power of Essential Oils booklet, which is essential for your practice as a consultant.
If you don’t have it, we also recommend that you order the Illustrated Guide to VedAroma Essential Oils.
Venue
The Maharishi Peace Palace in Istanbul, Turkey, is a beautiful place dedicated to Maharishi’s knowledge. It is built according to ancient Vedic principles that promote a healthy and happy life – an ideal place to focus on the course, experience essential oils and enjoy Transcendental Meditation and the TM Sidhi Programme. All rooms have a private bathroom.
The Peace Palace is 15 minutes drive from International Istanbul Airport. By taxi, it costs about 15 €. If the driver writes BOLLUCA BARIŞ SARAYI to the navigation he can find the location. (The address is: Bolluca Mahallesi, İris sokak No 5 ARNAVUTKÖY.)

About the faculty
Andréia Castilho
Andréia Castilho has a B.A. in Business Administration from MIU, an MBA in People Management and has trained in several modalities of Maharishi AyurVeda including advanced Maharishi Aroma Therapy with Dr Rosie Geelvink. She has worked on the promotion of VedAroma products, and with Dr Nadine Thomas, producing course content and teaching Maharishi Aroma Therapy at MERU in The Netherlands, and in other countries. She also has extensive management experience in many areas such as Vedic organic agriculture and mining. Currently, she is the Head of the Department of Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International.
Dr Walter Mölk
Dr Walter Mölk is a medical practitioner from Austria and one of the directors of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International. For many years he has been developing and teaching Maharishi AyurVeda postgraduate curricula for health professionals worldwide, and since 2010 has taught Maharishi AyurVeda at all the Maharishi Aroma Therapy courses.

About Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy

The Department of Maharishi AyurVeda Aroma Therapy (MAAT) of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International in Vlodrop invites all meditators, sidhas and governors to to learn about and enjoy this fascinating field of knowledge and take the three phases of MAAT training, starting at the beginning of each year, as follows:
Updates on MAAT
This course will provide an opportunity to MAAT consultants to refresh the knowledge and acquire the most up-to-date information in this area. Many useful handouts have been incorporated since consultants were trained by Dr Rosie Geelvink, such as the Dosha effect of carrier oils, dilution tables (also for children), recommendations by Vaidya Vyas, new forms that make it easier to prepare for a consultation, etc. Therefore, many MAT consultants will find it useful to take this new Phase II of the consultant training course, which will provide new tools to all who have trained in this field.
The course will cover the whole range of Maharishi Aroma Therapy from the physical to the most subtle and spiritual levels. Being familiar with the finer values and mechanics of action of the essential oils will be more fulfilling for one’s own understanding and will help everyone to apply them in an easier way.
