Course description

Maharishi AyurVeda Gandharva Veda music is a precious discipline of Maharishi’s Vedic Science, the science of life, to create balance in nature, eliminate stress in the atmosphere, and produce a healthy influence for the individual and peace for the world family. It is an ancient system of music that forms the basis of Indian classical music and uses  specific ragas or melodic structures that align with the rhythms of nature.

  • Undersand the place of Maharishi AyurVeda Gandharva Veda Therapy in Maharishi’s Vedic Science and in the discovery of Veda in human physiology
  • Enjoy fascinating video lectures from Maharishi about Gandharva Veda.
  • Participants will learn a holistic healing approach by gaining a deeper understanding of Maharishi AyurVeda Gandharva Veda music therapy and will explore the properties of sound, Swar, Raag, Lay, and Taal.
  • Participants will develop practical skills through hands-on training and will acquire skills in singing Maharishi AyurVeda Gandharva Veda music.
  • Gain profound and practical knowledge of Sound Healing Techniques including principles of Maharishi Vedic Sound Therapy, and Maharishi Vedic Vibration Therapy, Tibetan bowls, tuning forks, and voice.
  • Knowledge of different methods of music therapy including receptive and active techniques and how they can impact mood, cognition, neuroplasticity, and emotional well-being documented by modern research.
  • The course also covers specialized applications of music therapy for prevention and support in various health imbalances (Raga Chikitsa) such as mental stress, neurological imbalances, uses during pregnancy and for female health, in geriatric care, and neuro-developmental imbalances in children
  • Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of how music can enhance their own well-being by using sound vibrations.
  • We will also cover the latest research and evidence-based practices in music therapy and Ayurveda, and the use of sound in modern medicine.
  • Participants will learn practical strategies for combining music therapy with other Maharishi AyurVeda modalities for a holistic healing approach.

Dr Shubham Kulkarni is an Ayurveda Physician with over 7 years of clinical experience in music therapy, mental health, palliative & End of Life care. He is also an expert in Indian classical music. By blending ancient wisdom with modern therapeutic approaches, he offers holistic, transformative care to his patients.

Dr Kulkarni brings his expertise from conducting 200+ workshops, sessions, and courses globally, educating over 10.000 participants on integrative health approaches. He is well known for his use of Maharishi AyurVeda Gandharva Veda in music therapy, selecting specific ragas to restore balance and harmony in the mind, body, and spirit. Additionally, he incorporates Indian classical instruments like sitar, tabla, and tanpura to create profound healing experiences.

Dr Girish Momaya

Dr Girish Momaya is a director of Maharishi European Research University, a Dutch foundation providing training, and services in the fields of education, Ayurveda health care, and social well-being. Dr Momaya is a director of International Maharishi Ayurveda Foundation in the Netherlands, a global organization that serves as a platform to integrate and bring all aspects of Ayurveda into the Mainstream. Furthermore, he is also a director of Maharishi AyurVeda Europe B.V., a Dutch company dealing with manufacturing and distribution of herbal health food supplements.
Dr Momaya spent many years working under the guidance of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, the great scientist of consciousness and the founder of the Transcendental Meditation programme. He received extensive education and training under Maharishi’s guidance in all aspects of Vedic Science.

Dr Walter Mölk

Dr Walter Mölk  is a medical practitioner and a founding director of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International. Dr Mölk worked closely under Maharishi’s direction and guidance for over 30 years, helping to formalise and integrate the knowledge of Maharishi AyurVeda and modern medicine into the truly holistic system of Maharishi Integrative Medicine. For many years he has been developing and teaching Maharishi AyurVeda postgraduate curricula for health professionals worldwide.
