Learn fundamentals of Bharata Natyam, South Indian dance, one of the main forms of Indian Classical dance. With easy to follow, step-by-step instruction, this course is designed to guide anyone to learn and practice Vedic Dance and enjoy its benefits. The beautiful and ancient art of Indian Classical dance increases mind-body coordination, provides excellent exercise, and nourishes and strengthens the whole physiology.
Beginners are welcome to attend this course, no previous dance training is necessary.
Technical requirements to join are that you have a desktop, laptop, or mobile device that can access the internet. The live practice sessions will be conducted via Zoom video conferencing software. Instructions for using Zoom, and login details for joining the course, will be provided before the course.
Course participants will also have access to pre-recorded instructional videos on the Vedic Dance Academy online platform for three months after the course start date. Live, interactive practice sessions on Zoom are recorded and available to view for one week. Videos of Maharishi are only played live on Zoom, so everyone is encouraged to attend live.

Rebecca Busch is a certified teacher of the Transcendental Meditation technique and the founder of Vedic Dance Academy. She studied with master teachers in the T. Balaswaraswati tradition of Bharata Natyam and is a graduate of Paramparai Foundation’s DASI ATTAM course in South Indian dance, music, and poetry taught by Dr. Saskia Kersenboom and certified by the International Dance Council CID-UNESCO. She is an Advisor for the Performing Arts for the Academy of Arts for Enlightenment. She received a BA from Maharishi University of Enlightenment and a Master of the Science of Creative Intelligence degree (M.S.C.I.) from Maharishi European Research University (MERU).
