About the Course

The Maharishi Yoga Āsana MasterClass is a course offered for the first time in 2022 by the Department of Yoga Therapy of the Maharishi College of Perfect Health International.

This valuable online course is based on Maharishi’s 16-Lesson course on Yoga exercises. It presents complete guidance for the practice of Maharishi Yoga Āsanas (MYA), including anatomical and physiological considerations, supported by excellent demonstrations, charts, and interactive discussion. The course presents detailed knowledge of the correct performance of Maharishi Yoga Āsanas, thereby ensuring a safe and beneficial practice for improved health and well-being, and clearer experiences of Transcendental Consciousness, the state of Yoga. Yoga means unity. It refers to the union of individual awareness with its fundamental nature, pure consciousness, the infinite source of all creativity and intelligence.

The course is very beneficial for everyone. It will be invaluable for those who have been practising the MYA for many years or have already attended the 16-lesson course on Maharishi Yoga Āsanas. On the other hand, no background knowledge is required; therefore complete beginners are also welcome!

Feedback from previous course participants

“Brilliant! I loved it. It’s transformed my practice. I feel more aware of my body during the day, as if I can detect where I am holding tension. I have rediscovered the silence in the practice of the asanas. I am amazed at the changes I’ve experienced doing the Asanas, my improvement in flexibility.” – C.Y.

“It has been a pure joy! Knowledge shared generously with us in a most professional way and paying attention to the smallest details. Benefits could be felt very quickly, and before long I noticed an increase in how stable I felt during my working days, with a more aligned posture.” – B.D.

“I feel myself effortlessly putting more attention on each posture since starting the course and feel a deeper effect. My practice has become more precise, and I feel an increase in balance throughout the day. The course was very rewarding for me.” – R.R.

Unique Benefits

The MYA-MasterClass offers in-depth instruction through an effective combination of unique videos and live online workshops to cover all aspects of each pose in great detail.

Eighteen unique videos have been made to cover all the Āsanas of Set 1, designed by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and renowned Yogacharyas in 1992. One session is dedicated to Prānāyāma, the breathing exercises.

In the videos, Gudrun Buchzik shows exactly how to gain maximum benefit from performing each MYA. You will be surprised how many new aspects you will learn even if you have practised the Āsanas for many years. And you will soon notice the positive effect on your overall health and the improved quality of your meditation programme.

In addition, four live online workshops will provide the opportunity to practice with your MYA MasterClass Teachers. The teachers will carefully and competently guide, adjust, and correct your practice if you wish. This is a unique opportunity to learn the correct practice step by step, which has not been offered so far.

Please note: Because of individual coaching, the number of participants is limited – please reserve your place as soon as possible if you wish to attend!
